Angel of the North

Anthony Gormley's 'Angel of the North'.

This is where I was on this day, two years ago now. Through family history research I had discovered relatives I never knew of before and had been given precious images of my direct family by one of them. We spent a week in Newcastle, meeting up with them and having a look around the area. Fantastic city, lovely people and I just love this statue.

(Had to *seriously* play with settings on this because the weather and light on that day was *totally* pants. Praise be to the mighty Photoshop)!
