Yeah I know, cliche. I don't care though, I've always loved this composition and was determined to capture it during blue hour on my trip to San Francisco, cliche or not. Alamo Square was very crowded the night I shot this making it difficult to avoid the passing crowds of people. To make matters worse, a screw came loose on my tripod making it too wobbly for a nice long exposure (to blur the people) so I was forced to wait out the passers by and shoot using a much shorter exposure than I would have liked. I now carry an allen key in my camera bag...
