Product placement was super subdued: other than a few tricked out cars on the ferry dock (SF-side, not on Alcatraz) and a single car and a logo on the island itself, there was nothing but the artists, art and attendees. They've posited it as an "arts" event rather than "buy our stuff."

You didn't hear much about it because it was a private event -- see www.exprescion.com/alcatraz/
