i used the 50mm f/1.8
the DOF is excellent with this lens.

for more technical details, i used my sb600 flash and i think i bounced it off the white wall and ceiling behind the camera

@Grant McB: Yes it is ok to copy his photo because it is licensed BY-NC-SA. I posted a copy of it on my blog and didn't need his permission since its non-commercial, I gave him credit, and my copy is relicensed under the same terms as the original. well you dont have to grant them - your anscestors already have granted corporations more rights than individuals. we live in their world now. just funny how many people think that's the way things ought to be.

i suppose we are all capitalists in some sense. doesnt mean we have to love it.
