This is now the Paca House & Garden. The length of the old car vs. the length of the SUV behind this shot is pretty telling. Cars back then were SMALL.

Wow, this is INCREDIBLE! Great work on all of your past/present photos -- I hope you get them published all over the place! These are amazing photos and they need to be seen! I'm sharing your "Looking Into the Past" set with everyone in my email contacts so they can enjoy your photos too.
You have no idea how much I love before and after shots -- and your clever idea just brings it to a whole new level. It really makes the old pictures feel more real. It can be so hard sometimes to look at black and white photos and really grasp that it was a real scene in real life. This one, in particular, is great because I can see the green leaves on the tree, the blue sky, the color of the bricks... When it was brand new, that old car sat on that street on such a day -- and you helped bring it to life. Thank you!

Thanks a lot, PaPeR.cLiP! You've hit on one of the things I like most about this project - how it really brings the past to life. As you said, you can suddenly get a really good idea as to what a scene actually looked like (in full color) when you see an old photograph in it's present day context.

Fantastic and creative idea. What surprises me is that no one mentioned the juxtaposition of cars. No, not the car in the picture to the car to the right, I'm talking about the SUV that you covered with the picture to the car in the picture. You can clearly see the front and back of the SUV on the left and right of the photo and then you can see how much smaller the cars were. Or should I say, how much larger they have become? Very nice work. I may try this with my parent's old vacation photos. = )
