Rain Barrel

I just put a new 50 gal. rain barrel on one of our downspouts. Just 10 minutes later, we had a nice summer shower to test it out.

Update: Okay, so that was not so much of a summer shower and more of a torrential downpour. I had to rush out and re-level this thing in the rain as it started over-flowing in a matter of minutes (this downspout gets a lot of roof tributary area). Not fun, but kind of important to keep water off the foundation.

Prototype

I'm making something. This was a prototype to dry fit everything. So far, I'm pleased with the results.

Often I get about 30 min. to myself after dropping the kids off and starting work. Today, I made six or so cuts with the chop saw during my zen half-hour.
