It's for you...![]() Among the cool junk I found on my trip to Kings Park Psychiatric Center was a phone that Josh found and gave to me.
Also included and shown: A guage. Some kind of PSI guage from a pipe, most likely a pipe that was stolen by pipe thieves. A book called "Crucibles: The Story of Chemistry - From Alchemy to Nuclear Fission" published in 1957. This copy was from 1963. It was found in the power plant among piles of junk thrown on the floor out of lockers possibly by previous "visitors". A cassette tape called "Coming Home". It's broken so I can't play it... not that I have anything to play it in. A 1991 calendar. It was opened to June. Weird that everything I found was from 1991 when the place closed in 1996. A news paper, well part of one from 1991 as well. "Newsday". It has the comics (With an actually funny Garfield) and some ads as well as Ann Landers. King of Spades from one of the floors. Cards were all over the place in front of a door. Don't know if they're from when it was open though. They're too new to have been sitting there for 11 years. Probably kids hanging out and playing cards. A blue metallic tag Josh found from one of the pipes behind the wall. This is number 4245 from building 93. That was all I could carry, as well as all that was really interesting enough. The place has been closed for 11 years and trashed to hell by previous history haters. Shame, if only I could have seen the place shortly after it closed before all the local kids started making it their own.
