…and the onslaught of Susan-magic-light images never ceases. I love our little local frolic adventures. I also love photographing people, and am realizing that it's not really something that is frequent enough for me.
I received an email from my marathon-runner uncle today that was expressing his enthusiasm for a run he had yesterday. The words he said reminded me of the way I feel when I get "into the zone" while I am shooting: "One of those runs that starts ho hum and builds a teeny bit and then you're in the groove, and then you're really in the groove, and then you're REEEEEEEALLLLLLY REEEEEAAALLLLLLLY REALLY in the GROOOOOOOVE! As in swift, smooth, young, alive, in the moment of physical harmony with your body and your mind and your spirit and your essence and nature's gifts and you thank the powers that be that you can enjoy this moment. THIS ONE BLESSED MOMENT of bliss."
When you subtract the physical component from above… is this a familiar feeling for anyone else? I guess I am simply delighted to be reminded of how much I love photography. Sometimes I forget.
