SipadanOne of the most magnificent sights I've had the privilege of witnessing as a scuba diver. Thousands of Chevron Barracuda schooling just off the coast of Pulau Sipadan, Borneo. To dive here and end up completely surrounded by these fish is an incredible experience and one I won't soon forget. I'll have plenty of stills to share later, but I really wish I'd ran the video longer. Uploaded on Dec 3, 2009 Marketplace in Nha Trang
A fabric vendor in Nha Trang, Vietnam. High quality fabrics can be had here for $2-3 per square meter, which can then be sent to a tailor who will make you custom garments such as dresses, shorts, pants, and men's dress shirts for right around the same cost. Much more exciting than a trip to the mall, and you'll be much happier with the results. Uploaded on Nov 25, 2009 Thanh Long (Dragonfruit)Easily one of my favorite fresh fruits in Vietnam, Dragonfruit. Inside you'll find a spongy chalk-white flesh that's peppered with tiny black seeds. We've enjoyed more than a few of these throughout our travels. Uploaded on Nov 25, 2009 Hanoi at NightHanoi is home to untold hundreds if not thousands of sidewalk 'restaurants' where one or two bucks gets you a full meal, enjoyed sitting on a tiny stool near the vendor. Noodle soups, fried fish, rolls, grilled meats and countless desserts can be had at these places - to name a few. Uploaded on Nov 25, 2009 |
