Should I stay , should I go
This is the question. Actually , our theme for next Monday in the photo club is “ Animal Kingdom” so here is my submission. If you search for Avian Photography – relevant … there is my Rubber Ducky , right at the top :-) , sorry for that , all the feathers on the stick people
I hope everyone had a little smile. I remember conversation at Electronic Arts . Bunch of people gathered in the hallway and very heated discussion started . After few minutes someone just shouted “ Hey cool down , we are not saving any lives here , we make games ! “
...it's still a hobby – have fun !

Confrontation
Venice Biennale – Judy Millar exhibition in La Maddalena. When walked into the church , I was speechless, I think that was her intention . 18th century church designed in very classical form with modern abstract art. It took me a moment to figure out what to do with “it” but I started to shoot ( with permission for once ) . This was one of very few churches that I was able to take photographs. I like old churches so much and it drove my nuts in Venice “no pictures !!!!” . I do understand of not respecting the place but I did feel very disrespected by them.
Here is more info about this exhibition including video .

and about the church
The church of the Maddalena (Italian: Santa Maria Maddalena in Cannaregio, usually referred to simply as La Maddalena) is a church in Venice, Italy, in the sestiere of Cannaregio.
A religious edifice is known in the site as early as 1222, owned by the Balbo patrician family. When, in the mid-14th century, the Venetian Senate established a public holiday for Mary Magdalene's feast, it was decided to enlarge the church, including a watchtower which was turned into a bell tower.
The church was restored in the early 18th century, but in 1780 it was entirely rebuilt under design by Tommaso Temanza, with a circular plan inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. The bell tower was demolished in 1888. The most notable feature is the portal, with masonic symbols over the door (probably connected to the Balbo's membership in the Knights Templar). The interior has hexagonal plan with four side chapels and a presbytery.
Outside the apse is a 15th century basrelief of the Madonna with Child.

Island - not really ( in Whistles for couple of days )
Island … not really . One more from Kanaka Creek , last meandering turn before loosing itself in the mighty Fraser River. Quite interesting place, not that far from my place but it's my first time there ( it took new bridge for me to do there ) . One of the best things about photography ...it kicks you out of the house .
PS I will be away for couple of days , I may not be able to shoot anything – it is just pouring

Stick in the mud
I'm sure that we all have the moments that we share the that feeling .
I have seen today on the news , story about Ansel Adams – his images got published in color with the blessing of his family. According to the story , Ansel didn't publish his work in color only because the technology at that time could not reproduce colors to his satisfaction.
Here is the link
