Ikea?
The room has a Northern European touch to me.

I love the light in there...

Only Janusfinders' laundry room looks like a work of art. ;-)

Sadly this is not my laundry room, _stefanie: it is my brother and sister-in-law's.

The key to deciphering these Potemkin Village viral ad shots is to have a keen eye for detail.

Notice the black paper shredder, and how it seemingly fits naturally into the scene. Where's the paper? Why would you need a shredder in the laundry/sewing room? It makes no logical sense.

But then the scene isn't meant to be logical, it's meant to create emotional attachment. This is a shot of home. It's unnaturally well lit, has just enough chaos for that lived in look, and yet is neat enough to stir desire in the viewer that their laundry room should look so good; in short it's an idealized picture of an ideal home, bringing to the fore your basic emotions of warmth, security, and longing.

Within this context we situate the shredder, and thus the viewer transfers the emotions of the room onto the shredder. And when next the viewer finds themselves at Staples, when they see the shredders, they won't think of cold souless office equipment; they'll instead think of a warm intimate piece of furniture no home should be without.

We're onto you and your sneaky sneaky ways, "JanusFinder", or should I say The National Ad Council For Shredders and Pencil Sharpeners. Don't think you can get away with your manipulative lies!

Yes, it looks like a piece of art. Like if someone carefully arranged every single piece in this room.
