This photo has a great feel to it and I'm wondering how you've manged to compose this. Seems a little dangerous to stand in the middle of a set of tracks like that. Thank you for the courage.

Thanx at all!

@blumsy: I've take this on from a train station platform, not so dangerously as it looks! :-)

I love trains, so I love this photo. I don't suppose you'd tell me how you made it look so perfectly old? It definitely doesn't look like you used filters or Photoshop. And even if you did, you covered it up very well. ;]

Mark, it was only a lucky flow of work, what I've done there! one click here, one click there...but definatly made with photoshop and ps-plugins.

I try to reconstruct my work...finally not in this order but you can experiment!

What is to do:
-convert your pic in b/w

-with colour ballance you could receive a light brown tone, if you add more red and yellow

-change colour curves, so that you recive a bright pic

-apply noiseware professional filter (noiseware pro. is a ps-plugin)for a soft touch (it works better then gaussian blur)

-after all steps you shoud correct the colour curves to receive an optimal effect

-then you could use the noiseware professional to add more grain, because with noiseware you can choose the ranges, where the effect should work, and where not!

I'm not sure, if these guidance works, or not, but I wish very resultful experimentations!
