Unidentified wet berries (2 of 2) by midas_dk.
Handheld macro is, well, hard...

(and it would seem that the berries are now identified as "Virginia creeper")

Nice work, especially handheld. How do you like the 7D?

Thanks!

I really like the 7D, but have to admit that I had expected a better low light ISO performance (there's still lots of artefacts). Over my 400D, though, it totally rocks!

(and about the handheld stuff: I just bought a decent Manfrotto tripod + ball head, so expect sharper images very soon :-D )

If you see yourself really getting into close macro, then a focusing rail is really helpful too.

Yeah, thanks, I might look into that. Maybe it'll be quite useful for video as well.

If the lowlight was as good as my 5dm2, then I'd really start crying :)
Seems like an amazing camera.. oh and a nice shot too :)

Any luck converting the video to something usable? Im still struggling with that part.

Blade, define "usable". 1080p / 24 fps in some .mov format seems to work fine when uploading to whichever sharing service I've tried (Vimeo is the nicest one so far)!?

Edit? No idea :-s It's still .mov, so there has to be something you can do (short of buying a mac, that is)!?

BladeDK  Pro User  says:

yeah, you can convert it... I just havent found the proper codec... or the right program for it.. even mac's can't edit it straight out of the camera.. though Id still very much like a mac, just for final cut pro :D Just too bad they cost so much..

Blade, www.adobe.com/dk/products/premiereel/ should be able to support .mov - they do according to this page: video-editing-software-review.toptenreviews.c om/

Premiere Elements 8 is DKK 775 via Adobes own online store...

mov is not the problem, mov is just a container, like avi is.. its the h264 codec thats the problem :)

as far as I know, no computer is fast enough to handle h264 without converting it to something else first...
