cows play peekaboo

While you are sleeping without any care,
Cows play peekaboo in morning spring air

I should confess that this cow doesn't belong here. I put him in with the Juxtaposer iPhone app. That cow lives on a tiny farm near my house in Redmond and the tulips here are in La Conner (roughly a two hour drive away) at the tulip festival. I hope knowing this doesn't ruin the image for some of you. For those who are disappointed will you be impressed to know that I was only half cross-eyed by the time I finished removing all the scenery surrounding the cow? No? My gosh, what's it gonna take people? ;-)

That would require that I talk to him. ;-)
Thank you! That tulip field looked like it needed something . . . I know! A cow! ;-)
    Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! I know you miss the tulips, but I'll take your new palm trees any day! (although I would miss the tulips too)
Thank you! Yes, my eyes were a bit crossed after this. X-)
Thank you Stephanie! Could you imagine the damage a cow would do to this field?! Ack!!!
Thank you! I understand where you're coming from. I barely manipulate shots with my DSLR because I can get some great bokeh with my 2.8 macro lens. A straight up iPhone image needs a bit more oomph . . . a cow perhaps?! ;-)
Thanks Suzy! Yep, that cow is MILES away from home. :-)
Thank you so much for including this image in your showcase Joanne! That was fun to wake up to this morning!
Thank you dear Lindsey! I just love this cow. He's on a tiny farm near my house. Finally took the time to pull over on the side of the road one evening to get some pix. There were maybe six cows in the field and this young one was so curious. Walked across the field to check me out; never took his eyes off me (can cows be untrusting?). He was a bit skittish too because when I lowered my iPhone it startled him, which made me laugh, which startled him some more. Too cute!
Thanks so much Dave! Was a fun surprise!

Clever you! I envy your photo-editing skills, but more than anything it is a charming image and idea. I was so convinced that it was real that I didn't even think about 's point about the tall tulips. I guess anything is possible in your imagination!
