That's what Peterson said these yellow warblers say. He's the one with the gift for writing it down, not me.

Thickson's Woods was a zoo today, and not in a good way. Some good birds were about, sure, but we birders -- the binoculars-kind and the camera-kind alike -- get a bit paparazzi-like at the hotspots at this time of year. I didn't get any photos of the really "good" birds, or even really try to, since I just can't get into birding as a social activity. I went off by myself, got some lovely photos (like this) of some of the more common species (and other targets of opportunity), and then lit out for quieter parts entirely.

I'm thinking I'll try Mountsberg tomorrow at dawn. I've had good luck with warblers there in the past, and the hordes won't be quite so numerous.
