• nipple reconstruction just days or hours after the procedure? I cannot remember but it was not painful because i have NO nerves or feeling from the front around to my back
  • First mastectomy age 31, horseshoe shaped scar
  • Naughty tumor was around in this area. Stage II invasive ductal carcinoma.
  • Several spots of DCIS were found up here - that's why I opted for the mastectomy.
  • Prophylactic mastectomy seven months after my first (age 32 June 2001). The six months of chemo just about killed me so I begged for a prophylactic mastectomy - which my insurance and surgeon granted to me. This is a horseshoe shaped scar to match the other side - hopefully for double good luck.
  • Sentinel node dissection was clean. Three lymph nodes were removed and I've not had any problems with lymphedema (thank god and knock on wood).
  • super difficult to shave because these fabulous looking implants are like ROCKS and they do NOT move. Perky forever :)

Lumps found after a training on breast cancer 10/2000.

Tumors removed 11/13/2000.

Chemo: 12/2000 - 5/2001

Reconstruction 2/2002 - 10/2002

HOPEFULLY I am done with all of this and just get to continue supporting others going through treatment.

I dedicate this to my friends who have died from cancer, those going through treatment and all survivors around the globe -- like myself!.

You can read my story over at the LAF website.
