Gotta love a nice shiny new iMac. Nothing else like it. I agree with the statement by William, but I have a 24" so... :)

haha!

I could have afforded the 24" But I don't need the features of it and tbh It was hard enough spending £700 on a computer never mind £1150

I got the 20" model about a year ago and I'm regretting it. The display is vastly inferior to the 24" model in terms of colour accuracy and viewing angle. I wish I had spent that little bit extra!

I've never had or seen a 20" but I've heard from lots of sources that the 24" is much better with color and viewing. Either way, I love the screen space the 24" gives me. I use it dual monitors with a 22" Dell.

@FishFingers & twofivethreetwo: Fair enough, I'm happy with my purchase, and not regretting It. I like the smallness. I've used the 24" iMac and will admit the display is better, but it's just feels big due to the large bezel and big chunck of aluminium. I had a 2408WFP for a while, but missed my 2007WFP. I don't need the desktop space either and it was cheaper, but with car insurance renewal, MOT, service and Road Tax, car comes first!

@Keewatin. Thanks :)

Oh, I understand. I'm really wanting to get a 17" mbp but money is keeping me to the low end 15" mbp right now.

Yea to be honest I just needed a new computer and didn't really need much but fancied my first iMac. Had two Mac mini's but decided to completely switch to Mac.

I wouldn't mind a MB or MBP but they are too expensive for what they are.

yeah, they do cost a lot. It has been hard to justify buying a mbp but I do a lot of freelance work and really need to be mobile and just can't give up OS X.

I have a MacBook and I am mostly happy with it however again the screen is an issue, unlike the MacBook Air the screen is rubbish. I don't see why Apple don't use the MBA screen in the new MB. I paid £1300 for it and the screen is like one out of a budget laptop and all everyone says is "What do you expect, it's Apple budget line?", £1300 in my eyes is not budget.

But the prices are set in the eyes of Apple. Same reason they removed the firewire port. That is left for the pro line. I do agree that for me to get a macbook it is about $1,200 which isn't a budget laptop. But I need some features of the mbp so I'm forced to go up a notch which puts my price at $2,100 instead. For a little faster speeds, a little screen increase and a firewire port. But so is the life of Apple. :)
