Gold Alter

So there's this church in Quito, the Compañia de Jesus. Apparently 7 tons of gold were used to decorate it. It's digusting if you ask me, why does God care how much gold you dedicate to Him? Incidentally why are "gold" and "God" so alike? Maybe that was the confusion, although in Spanish it's "oro" and "dios". btw, the reason why all these pictures are so blurry is because photography was forbidden my hand was shaking. Actually I probably should have just remembered to put the ISO up.
