futureshop/cendice/xenos

futureshop/cendice/xenos by Zulu Incomplete.
CENDICE and Future Shop sport very similar websites, too similar in fact. When I first saw it I check the copyright against the whois.net info for the the domain and it didn't match in anyway.

Be careful when buying things online and my advice is don't buy from CENDICE.

UPDATE: it appears as though the site has gone offline. Sorry all you people who purchased something there.

Cendice is a scam - see forum.aa419.org/viewtopic.php?p=146978 . They've just ripped off the whole design of Future Shop.

Thanks for clearing that up. It looked fishy enough that I wasn't going to go ahead and buy something. After posting the photo I went and looked the whois info and it didn't match up with the copyright notice on the foot of the page, much like every other electronics scam site out there.

It depends on how you sent them money ... but my guess is no, scammers are tricky that way.

First, contact your bank and try to cancel the transfer. However, it is very likely that it is too late and that the money is already collected.

Next, you report it to the local police. The police are those that can give you advice on how to proceed.

Sadly I didn't see your warning till too late. I'm feeling pretty foolish, but I sent a wire transfer on 4/12, thinking I was picking up a bargain laptop - especially as it came with a supposed Xmas offer of free delivery. I live in Greece. In retrospect I need my head examining.

Thanks for your effort to bring people's attention to the scam. Do you know if there's some sort of official monitoring outfit you can inform about such malpractice.

I did the same thing, ordered camera and afterwards understood how fool I had been. I called my bank, but they couln't do anything anymore they told me. But I continued I called police and then LloydsTSB etc. After quite many calls I got my bank interested enough so that they told me that if I make criminal announcement they can take action.

I realized that there is no structure to this kind of crime prevention. Everything takes too long time, so I guess my money is gone.
The feeling after this kind of scam is worst, you blame yourself and you feel complete nutcase or total fool.

But I try to take this like any other lessons - studying is not cheap.

Those criminals would be nice to get caught though.
