This is perhaps my favorite Chicago & Western Indiana photo. C&WI Alco RS1 252 heads through the trailing-point switches that will lead her out of Dearborn Station and onto the C&WI main line. She is leading a late-morning commuter train to Dolton. She will tie up at the small passenger station just north of "DU' Interlocking Tower at Lincoln Avenue in Dolton. All of this track is now gone, although the headhouse of Dearborn Station still exists, and has been redeveloped. High-end townhomes now inhabit this area, where passenger trains once ruled.
