Shed (under construction)

Our small but architecturally ambitious addition to the Queen's Park allotments, near our apartment in Glasgow's Southside. Designed to use materials from Glasgow Wood Recycling, Freecycle and other free sources (the skips and pavements of Glasgow) the most expensive components have been bolts, nails and screws. Facing south at the top of our half plot allotment, it's designed to get as much sunlight as possible while also providing secure storage.

Bolted junction between the legs of the A-frame and the roof beam. The timber used in the frame came from Glasgow Wood Recycling; the plastic on the roof came from a Freecycler in Wishaw; the doors from a Freecycler in Glasgow.
