Centro 18 in Pilsen
As of Feb 18, 2008, no construction has started, only earth moving last summer. It has been a year and a half since this picture was taken.
Centro 18, the new floft (fake+loft) in Pilsen. So far, there's nothing of note at the website. Demolition of the buildings north of this sign has started. It's funny to watch the Flash intro: They have a picture of how there is transportation in every directions. The picture is of a commuter train that doesn't exist in this state. Sidenote: Metra trains stop at the Halsted St. station about 4 times each weekday. I wish they had more times, at least when I was commuting to work on Halsted St. from the suburbs. It would also be a great way to get to Chicago. A 10-ride ticket from Union Station to Halsted St. would cost $1.66 per ride - cheaper than CTA and way more direct to Pilsen/Chicago Arts District.
