thanks for the feedback, everyone. the translucency of the weathered flags, back lit by the evening sky caught my eye immediately. there's an interesting color rendition i did of this too...might post it.

love the idea and concept of objects that we generally place so much significance in but in and of the objects themselves, they are nothing without human interpretation and perception...in this case, the flags are represented as empty symbols awaiting some distant political or social wind to fill them...waiting for their meaning to arrive...very cool.
