Bursting in Air
I took a short trip to New York City via the train from Montreal. I didn't manage to get too many good shots during my stay, but made this one on the return trip. Bombs away.

I took an early morning walk in the woods last week, trying to find a great location, seen twice previously in my photostream (search: where time stands still). I came across it, only to find that a tree had fallen right where I previously set up my camera. With my vantage point occupied by a massive fallen tree, I kept walking around, soaking my shoes and jeans in the tall grasses, blanketed in morning dew. I stopped to snap a pic of myself before i returned home.

I'm really enjoying the study of light these days (god, where are my taped together geek glasses!?)...2 recommendations: Joe McNally's Hot Shoe Diaries, which breaks down flash techniques, and the documentary called 'Dutch Light', which explores the subtlties and unique variables that produce the glowing light which is special to Holland.

I just returned from a trip out to Vancouver Island in British Columbia...We took an incredible 4 hour drive from Victoria up the Pacific Rim Highway to Tofino where we surfed and camped in an old growth forest. Amazing. This was one of the sights on the drive up.

Oh, ya know...More self-indulgent Lightroom nonsense. Messing around with some off-camera flash and electronic do-dads. This wasn't the best one of the series, but I'm posting anyway because I tweaked it pretty deep in LR and syncing settings to the 'better' photos just wasn't working how it 'should'. Cheers y'all!
