Paying her respects
This was one Carol, a 20+ time Catalina Marathon runner, paying her respects for another, Court Mumford, who died in a plane crash in November. Court had completed over 20 Catalina Marathons and was loved by all of the long-time runners. This woman carried a blue bracelet for the whole race in his honor, and she left a medal on his memorial to express her sense of loss. On the climb leading to the top, Carol was one of the people running, as most others were steadily hiking this very steep hill. On the downhills, she would have to walk due to some knee issues.
