bangles galore!!

bangles galore!!

I loved the bangle selection in india. I didn't have any idea of what the best spots were but I still got some cute stuff. This tiny shop had glass bangles, earrings, bindis, etc... I bought as much as I thought I needed and the grand total was only about $50. Now that I look back, I wish I had bought more colors of bangles. *sniff*

Monsoon in Delhi

Monsoon in Delhi

Situated on the Rajpath in New Delhi, India Gate is a monument built to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in World War I.

We dashed back into the car because it started to rain :) i love the monsoon, its so refreshing and cooling. We were lucky because it only rained when we had no where important to go.

McDonald's in Delhi

McDonald's in Delhi

More vegetarian items than non-veg. And no beef! Imagine that - no Big Mac! They also provide a delivery service.

Chennai Train Station

Chennai Train Station

I took this pic right as the train was pulling away from the platform. The Indian railway network is excellent. Its really comfortable, safe cost-effective and you have lots of options.

Train food

Train food

Some trains have completely catered coaches. This was on the Banglore-Chennai Express where they fed us a full meal and also provided us lots of drinks and snacks. Even if you don't get on one of these trains you can always buy food on the train or at one of the stops.
