Safe From Harm

Safe From Harm

**Sorry, had to rip down and replace to make a couple of tweaks**

The only long exposure that came out well from Sundays trip out with Mick, Allan and Anita.

The waves were crashing into the harbour wall beneath us and the wind was so fierce I was having to hold my tripod down to keep it steady. A 30 second exposure and I still couldnt tame that sea!

No banners please. Processed with a mixture of LR3 and Silver Efex Pro II which I'm playing with on a 7 day trial.

Have a look large it just seems that much better to me...

Back To The Wreck

Back To The Wreck

As many times as I have been to Saltwick Bay I don't think I've ever had conditions like these before. Freezing cold, incredibly wet and windy it was a really challenging shoot. Thanks to Anita, Allan and Mick for all of their help it was a great morning.

The tones in this are a combination of the beautiful pink and vibrant sky and the pinky/purpley hues I seem to get from my HiTech ND filters which I really like although I appreciate it's not to everyones tastes.

I was really pleased to come away with a small handful of shots that I'm happy with so I will post them over the course of the week.

Please don't leave me any banners or promote your own work in my stream, it will be deleted immediately

Rushing

Rushing

Rushing to the coast, rushing down to the beach, rushing over the slippery rocks, rushing in and out of the water testing how deep my wellies can take the water, rushing wind like I've rarely experienced, rushing seawater and rushing back to the car to get warm.....

Thanks to Anita, Mick and Alan for an absolutely fantastic morning out and helping me capture something new from my favourite location. Cheers!

Snow!

Snow!

So I rarely post portaits but I just couldn't resist.

Hannah and I went for a nice cold walk through York city this afternoon and whilst I'd originally intended to get a nice snowy looking picture of the Minster that just wasn't to be.

Fortunately my wife is a big kid and we mucked about against this background before trudging off to find some lunch in a warm little cafe for an hour or so. I hope everyone is making the most of the snow, having a great Sunday, playing around and acting silly like we have been!

No banners please, it drives me nuts!

On A Bright Clear Day II

On A Bright Clear Day II

The second part of my Bright Clear Day adventure with Dad.

Honest critique welcome on this - it may get ripped down and reposted another time! I'm not especially in my comfort zone doing mono work, sometimes it comes off, sometimes it doesn't. Im on the fence on this one so am interested to hear your thoughts - be kind, its been a tough week! ;-)

Please no banners!!! They drive me nuts
