Of course we had to take jnr out into Canon Hill Park after the recent snow. He loves going to the bandstand whenever he goes and this time was no exception. The difference was the journey was across a snow field which for his little legs not an easy task. He managed it in the end. So did I it should be added. However, I did have to carry him back.

Pumpkins again but this time from Warwickshire. Took a quick trip out to nearby Charlecote Park this afternoon. It was one of those cold but bright sunny days you get in Autumn sometimes where the sky is blue and the sun hangs low in the sky all day. This National Trust property was quite charming although the house itself seems to be undergoing quite a bit of re-wiring work. Had a Beef and mushroom pasty from the restaurant that was quite tasty but the place was busy. There's a useful little garden centre attached to the park and a shop that sells lots of locally grown fruit a veg including pumpkins of course.

During a short break in Mid-Wales we stopped at the George III hotel restaurant just a couple of miles down the road from Dolgellau. Had a well prepared Moules Marinieres at the restaurant and the service was friendly. Best of all was the view of the setting sun from the balcony where many people seemed to be enjoying a drink while looking over the lake. The bridge on the right is a toll bridge made of wood.

Out for our morning walk with jnr in Cannon Hill Park. The MAC had a circus theatre act performance on. We decided to watch the performance. We were amazed by the strength of the performers who were supporting their own and other performers weight from the trapeze. None of them were fat though.

Went to Canon Hill Park to get some fresh air for myself and my son. Lots of families out with bread for the ducks. Everyone was wrapped up snug against the cold. The ponds had frozen over but not completely. I wondered if their feet get cold?
