I love this time of year. The decorations, music, food, spirit, and ultimate meaning of Christmas really do make me happier. We set up our rather humble tree the other night and I had fun taking some close ups. More to come!

I love the evening light in this part of the University of Northern Iowa's campus. This is a lobby area that connects the art buildings together, love the light and the details that can be found here.

I have taken an interest in photojournalism/street photography recently though my time is spent mostly with long hours in the physics building working away. Hopefully I can shoot some more in the next few weeks.

Once again my constant urge to procrastinate from doing physics homework has lead to me messing with the camera in my apartment. I wasn't terribly thrilled with the shots I took but the more I looked at this one the more I was asking myself what lied beyond the light of the candle in that inky black abyss.

yup, I invented a word. :-)
