love it here !
i love the tension here
Underwaterline..
Beautiful!
baroque reflections by j image.
Its facade is of marble, its towers reach 250 feet into the air, and it holds 10,000 people (standing).

Construction began on Dom St. Rupert in 1614. It was consecrated in 1628 during the Thirteen Years' War.

Mozart's parents, Leopold and Anna-Maria, were married here in 1747, and Mozart himself was christened here nine years later. While serving as organist from 1779-1781, Mozart composed his Coronation Mass specifically for the acoustics of the cathedral.

A gorgeous representation of Salzburg here, Jim. This is a deep, rich image, with a touching mood. The red rose petals give it passion, the blue reflected sky gives it tranquility, and the Dom St. Rupert standing watch lends it strength.

Your photos from Europe are powerful, man. I love your vision.

so well seen... so well composed... interestingly , the introduction of the petals and the water to the picture makes it soothing to read and reflect upon your description.

I'm enjoying this image very much.. to look at the different levels in it... the fountain, the petals and the building. As usual, I wanted to tell you what is my favourite, but I can't, they all combine perfectly. And after all this, there is this lovely framing with lines that lead the eye. Wonderful Jim!

the composition is perfect and what an amazing building. i spent quite a bit of time looking at this today. my eye was drawn towards the textures surrounding the water, before addressing the red leafs, then finally the reflection of the architecture in the water. beautiful work !

I'm on the edge of my seat for every new post, Jim. The color variations on the stone is simply amazing in this. I agree, of course, with everything above. But, that color variation really pulls this together; the levels of red and blue is a reflection of...the reflection :) Superb. You've got a great vision when you have that camera in hand.

And I just noticed the green moss growing in the crevices of the stone :)

This is hands down my most favorite image on your stream, Jim. (And since Ryan up there might have a cow, I'll say it's my favourite too) ;-)

Seriously.. the perspective, the dof, the compostion... pure poetry, my friend. This has the mood, the delicacy, and the technical finesse of a Shakespearian poem. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Perfect in every way.

(ps- guess who'll be pestering you for a print of this baby shortly... ;))
