a warm welcome

This was taken outside the church on the grounds of a large estate
just outside of Leutkirch in the foothills of the German Alps. I couldn't
imagine a more welcoming entryway during the holidays.

May the peace and magic of the holidays find their way into each
of your lives. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy
New Year.

wenn geld nicht ausmacht

In the heart of Bavaria you can find the beautiful, and opulent, Neuschwanstein Castle. Commissioned by König Ludwig II as a homage to Richard Wagner. Wagner's operas were a tremendous influence on the interior decorations, as scenes from Parsifal, Der Ring des Nibelungen, and Tristan und Isolde can be found in the paintings on the walls.

The sky appears a bit muddy here, but I blame it on the snow and fog up at this altitude. You may not mind as much if viewed on black. I may have been able to adjust for it in PS, but I didn't want to fiddle too much with it. Just share it as I saw it ... sans color. :)
