SEX and Lies :)
SEX is the mantra of Ken Rockwell, and stands for Simplify and Exclude from your photo, to make a more powerful composition... and as I was having a very enjoyable discussion with Matt ....(Mattoz22_( G1) about this last night I thought I would mention it here. (Ken Rockwell's articles on How to Make Great Pictures are well worth a read:
The lies in the title refers to the lies created by my wide angle lens, because this pier is nowhere near as elegant as it looks here!! Also the long exposure has made the sea look calm and flat and serene, when it was actually the opposite... it was angry and dangerous and I couldn't get any nearer to it than that!
