imho,this lens is the best kit lens ever made for an Aps-c body.

I went the mall to test the Zeiss 24f1.8 but I did not buy it this time.
the lens is a superb lens but not balances well on NEX cameras and I feel it is a bit overpriced.
It should be as cheap as the Pana Laica 25f1.4 or Oly 12mm f2.

I guess I would get SLRmagic23mm f1.7 instead.
The NEX5n has a superb sensor but its lens line really sucks , I considered using A mount zeiss primes via Sony AF adapter but it was a bad idea because the Translucent mirror in the adapter deteriorates image quality of the NEX5n and 7 at base ISO quite a bit and almost none of A mount lenses balances very well on the NEX5n.

So, I've stopped spending any significant amount of money for my NEX system and keep it as it is until Sony gives us some serious low light prime lenses for this system, I dont care if it is named Zeiss or what but it has to be as good as Oly 45f1.8 lens..

I think as a whole system,as opposed to body only , the Panasonic GH2 or GX1 kit might be a better choice for me than this NEX5n or 7(I am really disappointed with my NEX7 and I am returning it).

the Pana GX1 dual lens kit(14-45+14mm f2.5 pancake) costs me about 700USD and I may also buy an Oly 45f1.8 prime all of that cost a bit less than a NEX7 body alone here.

and there are the superb Pana Leica 25f1.4 , Oly 9-18mm zoom ,etc in MFT camp.

I am also disappointed with my A77v, the Alpha77V is a crappy camera , I never seen any stunning photo taken with it and I never like its output myself , I always compare it to my A900 and 5D2 and always get disappointed why I used it......

I hope Sony wakes up soon and release a set of great compact primes for the NEX7.

I dont want to sell my NEX and NEX5n but I think I might have to. now, I got a Pana GX1 dual lens kit for 55700yen and it is a quite good camera system.

I love Pana 14mm f2.5 pancake lens , I think this is what Sony should have released when it revealed us the detail specs of the NEX7.

Also Oly 9-18mm zoom is a super compact and solid lens.
I also want to compare my Tamron E18-200VC vs Pana 14-140 if I can get it soon.
