Drawn Away by Dandelions

Drawn Away by Dandelions by It'sGreg.
I'd planned this shot for Utata's "Picture This" project. The theme was "Separation Anxiety" but the final image didn't strike me as terribly anxiety-ridden. I think it's the blossoms. Or maybe the dandelions.

I love dandelions

Yep, not an ounce of anxiety in this one. It's pure, beautiful, stress-relieving bliss -- that's what I get from this shot.

Have to agree with the others, it's a peaceful scene. I never understood people who obsess over ridding their lawn of dandelions.

Ooh! I think there is tension created by the focus. Your eye wants to focus on the chair but instead it's forced to the branch. Nice one!

The anxiety comes from the knowledge that the ground is too soft and if you did sit in the chair it would sink a lil......wobble.....lurch and throw you onto that soft grass for a wee lie down not a sit down!!!

no separation or anxiety here. attachment perhaps. chair provides comfort here as permission of sorts. now if the chair were gone then perhaps some tension...

Thanks so very much for all the kind comments. I appreciate it. It's increasingly clear, though, that dandelions aren't conducive to creating anxiety...unless you're one of those folks who are driven to have a dandelion-free yard.
