As I was walking along the public sidewalk that lines the river in downtown Chicago, I came upon a model shoot. Finding the scene interesting, I stopped to take some photos of my own. This shot was taken before the model's team saw me. However, as soon as the model's entourage saw my camera, they became hostile and one of their members challenged me, saying I wasn't allowed to take photos. I knew better and told him I was perfectly within my rights to photograph the proceedings since it was taking place on a public sidewalk. At that point, the photographer's assistant started hurling expletives and stood in front of my camera so I couldn't get a clear shot. Having already taken the picture I wanted, I moved on.
