Muramasa 8 Bit w/ Skull

I want to be poetic about this, but there isn't a great way to do that. It's Herndon (representing Northern VA towns at large) vs. DC... And the winner for me is the city.

New office/lab. No, the new management thing isn't literal. But the Lucky Ginger part is.

So, the display on my iPad started acting weird after I dropped it on Xmas eve.

On a recommendation, I tried opening it up to figure out if I could fix the problem. Well- I did manage to fix the screen issue (it was going red anywhere it tried to display black pixels).

However, I cracked the shit out of it when I tried to open it in the first place. Whoops.

First illustration for the project. I'm very rusty, but I think this came out well. I do hope to branch out and experiment during this project, but this first one worked well with the style I'm very comfortable with.

I did take a fair amount of liberties with the appearance. I don't know the mythology well, but it seems interesting. The symbolism and patterns in the images associated with this 'goddess' (for lack of a better term) are striking, so I played off of that, plus some descriptions I was able to find.
