Beethoven: Ready for framing

All done with the construction and mounting. Glue is still drying in parts, so sorry for the shine in the photograph. I've taken about a hundred pictures of it so far, but they are all blurry, even with a flash. Any tips? Thanks a bunch! And for those just tuning in... this piece (and some cassette tape art) will be on display at the Arizona Museum for Youth in MESA, AZ for a show called "Music for your Eyes" opening April 22nd! If you are in the area please come say hi!

so cool!!! I suggest bouncing the flash off of something white or diffusing the flash with a piece of tissue or napkin to fix glare. Maybe fix the focus with more light on subject instead of using the pre-flash to focus. stellar work.

      this is absolutely stunning.

I admire your artwork tremendously! Its unique and as an artist myself I do not know if I'd have the patience as you do to create these one of a kind pieces.

Do you have a website or blog?

Try manual focus and mounted on a tripod (some sort of holder) if you can. It's probably having trouble with the lines. Also be sure to be far enough back so the lens can focus properly.

Amazing work as always! One day when I am rich I will own one (or more) of these!

How big is it? It may be that you are too close. Try macro if your camera has that, if not try backing up a bit. Looks great by the way!

Thanks so much! I'm really happy with it, but now I'm aching to start some smaller, less detailed projects with music notes... the first is a ballerina dancing through the music. Thanks again! Best wishes!

Wow, that is incredible. You've done a fantastic job. As for how to take the shot without any blur, my advice would be use a tripod and the 2 second delay on your camera. That way when you give the tripod a second (well 2 seconds) to settle after you push the button.

      Your work is amazing!

As for good picture taking. Try propping your work up with an easel, and using a tripod with a timer to take your pictures.

I think we've got the same idea. This is a prize for our chorus, and his hair has the melodies that we sing!
