I glue down the cassette line by line and fold it into shapes I want... I twist the tape to give the illusion on a thinner line. It would bore your socks off to watch... lol. Takes a long time. Thanks so much!

Just a thought, which I'm sure someone has already had...it'd be cool if the cassette you use was in fact a cassette of that artist. It'd kinda add to the whole theme. Check out your local Goodwill for cheap materials. : )

I had thought about adding something to the tape, but I really love the idea that from a distance the tape "blends into" the background. The image is what pops out at you, like a traditional portrait. Many people have begun to take this image and photoshop in what they want as well, which i love. Freedom to the people! This was the VERY first one I ever did, so I've experimented with many different styles, colors, and techniques... everyone seems to have a different favorite. Always appreciate suggestions! Thanks!

Hi Gabriel : ) Thanks! Yes, I enjoy Vic Muniz's work very much. I was inspired to start creating art after seeing his work, along with other "illusionist" artists featured in a book called _Masters of Deception_. One of the other artists featured in the book, Ken Knowlton, profoundly influenced me. His work blows my mind... especially his portrait of Einstein made of nothing but dice. If you haven't seen it, you should definitely check it out
