I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way--things I had no words for.
Painted Hills John Day Fossil Beds...spring colour. View On Black
I just returned from a 10 day photo tour. A water cruise on the Coho Ferry to Anacortes, Washington, Smith Rock State Park, Oregon, John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, Oregon, Craters of the Moon, National Monument and Preserve, Idaho, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, Palouse Region, Washington. Can't begin to tell you how many images I captured. As I open each image, I feel as though I am reliving a childhood Christmas morning....so much fun!
The painted hills at John Day National Monument are fabulous. The colours breathtaking, the quiet beauty is in contrast to so many of the other busy national parks. I met the wonderful well-traveled photographer Tony Ernst, capturing the sunset at the park. If you have time, check out his website.
If you can spend some time watching the sunset at the Painted Hills of John Day National Park....you will experience a world that speaks to you in colour!
