Retreating waves at Rodeo Beach in Marin Headlands. Shortly after taking my previous photo I repositioned myself to the south to capture the sun setting right through a rock monolith. With dozens of rocks littered across the sand I loved how the water would swirl around the rocks as the wave retreats. Unfortunately the water was much more foamy today. It might have been due to the high surf and extremely windy conditions. Regardless I managed to capture the bright sun "staring" at the beach.
Taken using Canon 7D with EF-S 10-22mm lens. Used Hitech 1.2 + 0.6 soft ND grad filters and Cokin Pro-Z holder. (IMG_6446)
