Watch this corner; there's another condo building going up next door. The architect's rendering looks like another ultra-modern thing. Hopefully it'll mean good business for the 'Grill, but yeesh, another one? Folks can't sell the condos they've got already. This is madness. But at least there's still a good stack 'o pancakes with halfsmoke to be had in there.

HLS: Nope, haven't tried it. My experience runs along the typical halfsmoke/pancakes/biscuits variety...... endless coffee, huge meaty bacon, and you could live for months on those biscuits, I tell you.

The place is lined with tons of autographed celebrity & politician photos, all of whom have (evidently) eaten there at some point. So even if the food was terrible, the vibe & ambiance are unbeatable.

Lucky for us all, the food is great.

Helga -- The corned beef hash is not the best thing on the menu -- a little acidic (but I'm also an Irish-American snob due to my mother's version), but it's the *only* thing on the menu I wouldn't recommend. Stick with the pancakes, the meats, the potatos, the apples...mmm....I'm headed there tomorrow.
