Here comes/there goes the neighborhood

Here comes/there goes the neighborhood by IntangibleArts.
The new face of Columbia Heights is still churning in the womb... Starbucks is open, as is The Heighs restaurant and a few other things, and the mighty behemoth of Target/Best Buy/Whatever is still brewing across the street. I remain a cynical hypocrite: I fear the neighborhood will lose its flavor, though I'll still shop there once in a while. We all have our weaknesses...

Starbucks is one exception, though. With Mayorga and Columbia Heights Coffee nearby, there's no damn reason to even walk in there. That's right.

14th Street at Irving/Kenyon, Washington DC. Aug'07
