Thought I'd start of 2011 with an updated collection photo - so here goes!
Here are quite a few of my little camera faces, the collection has grown quite a bit over time
Still dominated by primarily box cameras, I have added 2 other bookcases filled with other pieces
Great hobby, so much fun, but I'm starting to get a bit crowded =)
I'll have to come up with another solution to displaying my addiction... I mean collection =) haha!

If you are looking for new additions to your collection and in NYC check out:
112 W 25th St (between 6th and 7th Avenues) New York, NY 10001
29-37 W 25th St NYC Annex / West 25th Street Outdoor Flea Market
I went there after work a few weeks ago and discovered even older camera's then yours.
At the outdoor flea market above, one gentlemen has hundreds of them (when he is there) not so cheap though.
At the indoor garage above it is hit or miss with many old models and tin type photographs also. It is a fun afternoon checking out folks old photography equipment photos and of course all kinds of treasures.

Unfortunately I'm nowhere near NYC... but on the opposite side of the country
Seattle - WA - which seems to be a mecca for camera collectors!
There are loads of us here, I suppose we get bored with all the rain and need to stay busy... *giggle*

I was out there this summer.
We had a week of sunshine.
Well if you ever travel to NYC you know where to pick up some items for your collection now.
Everyone visits this place at some point, unfortuately I am here everyday. Very bustling here.

OMG!!!! I could sit in that room and just drool for hours and hours. Do you buy online, or did you buy all these from antique stores? I am starting a box camera collection myself. I'm up to 8 lol... I just don't like the ones with the built in flash. I like mine all flashless. If you ever decide to sell duplicates I'm here. So beautiful.

My cameras have come from all over the place....
Estates, Ebay, Craigslist and more. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment, it's nice to know others love these little guys as much as I do!
If I decide to sell duplicates, I usually post them in my Etsy store (MyVintageInspirations) or on my Ebay Account (subiegal)
Keep collecting, have fun with it -it's such a great hobby =)

I love the history of these. Just thinking about the type of pictures that may have been taken on these cute little cameras. Maybe in 10 years I will have a huge display like this :D
