I'm a potter who works mostly by the very slow and ancient method of pinching forms, usually utilitarian items with a sculptural feel. My inspiration comes largely from the natural world despite living in the crowded, concrete metropolis of New York City. Currently residing in Manhattan's greenest enclave, Inwood, and growing up in rural Ohio, I have a lot to draw on.

By taking part in this primal process, the closest I can come to experiencing g-d and praying, I seek the transcendence of a spiritual mystic--through the rigorous discipline of noticing ordinary and mundane details and expressing them personally through my craft.

I believe we're all artists/mystics at heart and that creative discipline offers a truer more rewarding high than the distorted trip offered by harmful addictive vices.
