Continuous Play

Maura Nguyen Donohue's newest work - "Continuous Play" at Smith College, Northampton, MA. For my MFA Thesis Concert I wanted to challenge notions of the proscenium stage as a dead, passe or fixed space. I mainly chose to argue this because I didn't believe it and was resistant to the requirement for making work in such a large, formal space. So, I put all of my efforts into undoing the idea of what kind of work must happen in the 435 seat theater. Here are photos from the rehearsal and performance process.
