In hebrew it says "Barba'aba" which I *think* is similar to what it was in english. My memory of these characters is vague indeed. Great find!!

WoW you bring me back my old childhood memories... I used to love these characters.... and I called them Babapapa... hehehee... What a wonderful discovery! Thanks for sharing. Can you point me to more info about the cartoon? It used to be whown on Indian national television channel in atleast early 80's in my childhood... along with one mechanical robot show... he used to shoot from his fingers... now if I could only remember the name of the show... Darn....

And hey, I just downloaded Barbapapa theme in MP3 formtat. Anyone wants?
