I would have preferred if the article also mentioned that the suggestions were made in our personal capacities rather than as "public servants" per se. The fact that we were employed in government agencies is incidental. Still, I've got no complaints about the article. :)

Ivan, it would be nice, but that sounds more "disclaimer-ish" than something which would naturally appear in the papers. As you've mentioned, the article could have been sensationalized, but instead was well-written and elicits the key components of our response paper.
