A Rehearsal for Apocalypse

In early 2007 I was privileged to visit the southern city of New Orleans. Whilst I was shocked and appalled bt the devastation, still everywhere apparent, caused by Hurricane Katrina and the failure of the levees, I was ravished by the sheer beauty and singularity of the place. This is a city with a real identity. If you're American you should be agitating for its protection... both from future climatic events and from the ravages of greed and lack of empathy.

When New Orleans goes, so too will your history and your... soul.
