Pitchfork Music Festival brought together a wide variety of artists and hence a wide variety of fans. This couple was dancing to Yo La Tengo. The replacement on September 15 was to lighten the photo up a bit.

Her gaze leads me right to the guy making eye contact with the camera. And that's the real subject captured here: what happens when "that guy" goes to a festival to see some bands, but has to stick out others (like Yo La... :) It's a also a testament to how festivals and shows are performances for the audience as well. Her masquerade, his self-consciousness barely betrayed in his fiddling with...prolly a piercing. Awesome on the note.

My eyes are drawnt to the tattoed guy looking at the camera. Unfortunately he is to far back to be the subject and the people in the foreground are not interesting enough for me.

Or is it more the way the light reflects off them that's the issue?
