Dear Sir
Would it not add to the interest of your paper, if it should contain each week a column of news items in regard to what women are doing to help themselves and others? Such a column would be widely read especially by women.
I am willing to have such a column prepared each week, and to put it for convenience into the form of a printed slip, and mail to you regularly on such day of each week as you may prefer, provided you will give it a place in your paper, and [send a copy to] the Woman's Journal.
This column might be called "Woman's Column" or "What Women are Doing" or "Concerning Women" or otherwise as you may prefer - I enclose a stamp for reply, and am yours respectfully
Lucy Stone
